We offer the opportunity to put state of the art techniques into practice within the field of digital forensics at the Netherlands Forensic Institute. The department of Digital and Biometric Traces investigates seized data carriers such as mobile phones, tablets and hard drives for digital artifacts to contribute to criminal investigations of Dutch law enforcement. Your task will be to contribute to our cybercrime related investigations by researching and developing new methods for interpreting and analysing digital artifacts.

You will be working in a team with highly dedicated scientific researchers who like to challenge themselves to find anything that might bring a criminal investigation closer to the facts. We are therefore looking for someone who gets inspired by technical scientific research within the field of cybercrime, to be put into practice in our digital forensic investigations, someone who is capable of writing down and presenting the facts of his/her findings. If this fits your profile, we will offer an inspirational work environment with like-minded researchers who contribute by applying their knowledge in research into current (international) criminal cases.
