Junior researcher ‘wetlands biodiversity modelling’

We are looking for a motivated junior researcher with the following profile:

• You hold an MSc degree in a relevant discipline (a.o. ecology, biology, environmental science) with a clear focus on quantitative and statistical modelling approaches.
• You have proven affinity with large-scale environmental assessments and you are skilled in handling and analysing large datasets.
• You are familiar with open-source programming languages commonly used in environmental research (notably R and/or Python).
• You have a drive for policy-relevant scientific research that contributes to solving environmental issues and sustainability challenges.
• Dutch is the working language at PBL. English is spoken in international project teams. Therefore, you are expected to be fluent in English (written and spoken). A basic level of Dutch (mainly spoken) is appreciated

Training
A good landing in the organisation is very important to us. In your induction period, you will therefore be supervised by a direct colleague. In addition, PBL has an introduction programme for new employees which focuses on the role and position of the planning office, our working methods and the work culture.
